Preview: Total Refreshment Centre Tackle The Blue Note Catalogue

For a one off show at London's Southbank Centre...

Total Refreshment Centre is one of the key organisations within the rippling energy of London jazz.

As a venue, it served as a hub for innovation, a home for outlying voices who might otherwise not be heard.

Not operating primarily as a studio, TRC remains a vital creative hub, hosting one off events at venues across the capital and beyond.

As part of London Jazz Festival the collective have decided to peer into the Blue Note catalogue as a special show.

Blue Note x Total Refreshment Centre hits Queen Elizabeth Hall on November 15th, with TRC's own Lex Blondin rifling through the label's peerless catalogue.

Piecing together an incredible line up, the night will be blessed by Emma Jean Thackeray, Free Movement Ensemble and a super band put together for the occasion by Jake Long (Maisha) and Rosie Turton.

Full information – including tickets – can be found HERE, but we've managed to gain a clip smuggled out of rehearsals.

It's a sign of the continuing creativity that surrounds Total Refreshment Centre, as well as a preview of just how special this night will be.
