A playful fusion of the real and the surreal...

The sweeping pop of Gazel seems born from another dimension.

Billowing, gossamer melodies with a windswept atmosphere, she recalls everyone from Kate Bush to Robyn, all while sculpting her own identity.

New album 'Gazel's Book Of Souls' arrives in October, with new single 'You're Not Funny' epitomising her idiosyncratic approach.

The rattling percussion underpins her whispered yet direct vocals, with Gazel warning: "You're not very funny..."

The video alternates between sparse rooms in a mansion and the quasi-mystical atmosphere of an abandoned ruin, fusing that lyrical exploration of the real and the surreal.

Director Glen Travis comments:

“Working with Gazel on the film was a real joy. Showing her character with performance and movement, we wanted to create something that was both visually striking and faithful to her personality. I love the choreography of Spike Jonze’s videos, this was a great inspiration for me when working with Gazel.”
