The Magnetic Fields' work given a tender re-write...
Gavin James

No mean talent himself, Dublin songwriter Gavin James has a few heroes of his own.

Returning to his hometown earlier this year, the singer opted to record the warm, open concert.

Performing in front of a ravenous crowd, Gavin threw in a few special cover versions.

Initially released as part of The Magnetic Fields classic long player '69 Love Songs', 'The Book Of Love' is a tender, emotional display of the heart's power to inspire.

Rendered in straight and stark terms, Gavin James finds a little slice of himself at the centre of 'The Book Of Love'.

Check it out now.

'Live at Whelans' is due to be released on December 3rd.
