Death And The Penguin sit at the heart of the UK's math-rock underground.
Yet in the strictest sense of the word they're not truly 'math' - jagged of rhythm, opaque of time signature, they also incorporate all kinds of weird effects, lucid electronic experiments.
New album 'Anomie' arrives on July 27th, with the band set to play a special pre-release party at London's Old Blue Last on July 18th.
New song 'Colour In Me' leads the way, a devastating bout of avant rock that breaks down barriers into tiny little pieces.
Shot at local-favourite Brighton music haunt The Green Door Store and directed by Dan Chase, the new video is a salute of sorts to the community on the south coast (with added kaleidoscopic projections).
Sayeth the band...
"'Colour In Me' is our own take on a summery pop song; it’s a song about the antagonising forces often at work in a relationship that make love complex and disorienting. We wanted to reflect this in the video by combining live performance with visuals that capture the energy and shifting emotions of the track - it was a lot of fun capturing this down on the south coast with some good friends.”
Tune in now.
