It's "music with a message..."

Rising Essex group Courts seem to take huge strides with each passing release.

The four-piece have a clear love of funk and disco - Nile Rodgers is their No. 1 guy, after all - but there's a rich vein of originality there, too.

New single 'Tonight' continues their aim to produce "music with a message", a funk-pop gem that discusses the connections that bind us all.

A plea for common humanity in the shape of a party anthem, it matches Studio 54 glamour against UK grit.

They explain: "Spirituality, love, and the connection we feel to the universe. Everyone is painting false perceptions online, not many people are being real. It’s about tapping into the positive amongst all the negative..."
