It's a glossy return from the Manchester based band...

Bad Love's glossy sound taps into classic pop tropes while steering towards the future.

Now based in Manchester, the band have clearly absorbed the glamorous 80s gloom of Tears For Fears and The Cure, while placing themselves alongside MUNA, say, or even London Glamour.

Electronic pop with neatly defined edge, opening singles such as 'More Than Friends' and 'Hurricane' underlined the project's potency.

Led by Andy Gannon, new single 'A Place For Me' is an addictive synth pop jewel, a bold return that showcases their ragged ambition.

Out now, 'A Place For Me' is a clinical pop song, all smooth edges and production with a chrome finish.

We're able to showcase the video, and it pins down another side of the Manchester outfit.

"The video was directed by my good friend Joe Berisford who is a big part of the art direction for the band," says Andy Gannon. "We wanted to create something that really felt like a piece of the 'Bad Love' world; that requires it to be heartfelt and sincere without being cliché. The actress is our good friend Charl Hemmings, she and her boyfriend deserve so much credit for helping us create that killer bedroom set and scene."

"This helped the video to reflect the lyrical story. On one side, someone is dealing with their past problems; so torn because they know this could be so right, but it's hard to let yourself feel that way when you've been hurt before."

"On the other, all you want from someone is for them to let you in and it's sometimes difficult to understand how there can be so many walls between you. We loved the idea of the ending being unresolved too, did he show up or did she just order pizza or something?"
