Travis Barker Air Crash Report

Accident caused by "under-inflated tires"

The plane crash which seriously injured Blink 182 star Travis Barker was caused by “under-inflated tires”.

Leaving behind Blink 182, Travis Barker began making more electronic inclined music with close friend DJ AM. However the pair were left seriously injured when a plane they were travelling in crashed back in 2008.

Crashing on take off, the accident left four people dead. Travis Barker survived, although the Blink 182 star was forced to make a dramatic escape down the side of the aircraft’s wings.

Suffering extensive burns across his body, Travis Barker somehow survived the crash. DJ AM also managed to escape, with the pair enduring several months of medical treatment.

Sadly dying last year due to a drugs overdose, the death of DJ AM leaves Travis Barker as the only survivor of the crash.

Now an investigation into the crash claims to have found the cause. Talking to the National Transportation Safety Board yesterday (April 6th) investigators have revealed that the plane’s tired were not inflated correctly.

After an investigation, it was found that the last time the pressure in the plane’s tires had been checked was three weeks before the crash – normally the tires are changed every eight days.

Last year Travis Barker settled a law suit against Learjet and Goodyear Tires, who were both involved in the accident.

Meanwhile, the bass player has returned to the fold with Blink 182 announcing their reformation during a dramatic speech at last year’s Grammy Awards.
