Shivum Sharma Confronts His Insecurities On ‘Ride’

It's a gorgeous neo-soul bop from the London force...

London songwriter Shivum Sharma has shared new single 'Ride'.

The vocalist's slim but potent catalogue reaches a fresh apogee later this year, when he releases his 'Diamond' EP.

Out on August 18th, it's led by new single 'Ride', a gorgeous slice of minimalist neo-soul.

Led by that vocal and those overlaid harmonies, 'Ride' was produced by Alex Burey, and features additional vocals from Sarah Meth.

He comments: "'Ride' is an ode to how the sun makes me feel. It was born on a grey day in Alex Burey’s studio, a room that let's no natural light in, giving us the freedom to ignore outside's climate and determine it for ourselves."

A song that deals with self-worth and personal insecurities, he comments: "It’s about not feeling enough, but fronting and giving it all you've got anyway. Living in the shadow of another's glow but enjoying the ride enough to stay exactly where you are anyway, soaking up all that it brings."
