Saint Laurent Announces First Fine Jewellery Collection

In a new move for the heritage brand...

YSL has announced their first fine jewellery collection: Saint Laurent Haute Joaillerie. Fine metals and diamonds have been crafted into bracelets, necklaces, and earrings for this collectable offering. Often lauded as the connoisseur of costume jewellery, this new move from the French heritage brand demonstrates Anthony Vaccerello’s drive for expansion in his role as creative steward.

Oversized, audacious bangles juxtapose fine, delicate pendants, resulting in a balanced and sophisticated line. Vaccarello plays with this duality for an endlessly wearable collection without compromising his daring and chic inclinations. Familiar details, including the Mailon ‘link’ and the iconic Cassandre design, keep the collection grounded in traditional YSL house codes. The Cassandre logo has been synonymous with the brand since YSL’s inception in 1961, gaining its eponymous title from Cassandre, the renowned French graphic designer who developed it 60 years ago.

The striking campaign, shot by Juergen Teller, sees sleek jewellery placed in a rustic garden setting against a backdrop of rich foliage and raw, natural textures. The eminent German photographer (who blessed us with a pink-haired Kate Moss back in 1999) brings his distinctive sultry edge to this bold jewellery campaign.

Saint Laurent Haute Joaillerie is available to shop in select flagship stores or via ysl.com.
