Jarvis Cocker Album Details

Pulp singer returns

Former frontman with Pulp Jarvis Cocker has announced details of his forthcoming solo album ‘Further Complications’.

One of British music’s most respected figures, Jarvis Cocker’s acerbic lyrics lent his group’s Britpop anthems a degree of respectability the era sometimes lacked.

Forming Pulp in high school it would take Cocker over a decade to achieve any kind of success. However, when it came, it would transform Jarvis Cocker into one of the nation’s most recognisable musicians – he was even lampooned on ‘Spitting Image’.

The follow up to his 2006 solo debut ‘Jarvis’, the album was produced by legendary sonic engineer Steve Albini. So expect pounding drums, mumbled vocals and sensitive acoustics.

According to a statement from singer songs likely to make the final cut include ‘Angela’, ‘Pilchard’, ‘I Told You Twice (Leftovers)’, ‘Hold Still’, ‘Fuckingsong’, ‘Further Complications’ and ‘You’re In My Eyes (Discosong)’.

Jarvis Cocker is set to release his new album ‘Further Complications’ on May 18th. The singer has confirmed the following live dates:

June
10 Blackpool Empress Ballroom
12 Glasgow ABC
16 Brighton Dome
17 London Troxy
