James Blake Airs Fake Burial Interview

...and a brand new track

Who knew James Blake was so funny?

The producer took charge of his first ever Radio 1 show last night (January 16th) and trailed it with a series of ambiguous Facebook posts.

Phil Taggart host the show ahead of Blake, and confirmed that the songwriter would be airing an interview with Burial. In the end, it wasn't an actual, genuine interview – James Blake simply used the vocal fragments on Burial's records to have a 'conversation' with the Hyperdub producer.

It's genuinely pretty funny, with James Blake at one point posing the inevitable question: "are you Four Tet?"

Listen to it below.

Obviously aware of punking his audience, James Blake also aired new track '40455'- listen to it below.

…and as if that wasn't enough: James Blake also played the Harmonimix versions of Beyonce's 'Drunk In Love' and Mystikal's 'Pay Me'.
