Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes Announce New Album ‘Dark Rainbow’

It's out on January 26th...

Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes will release new album ‘Dark Rainbow’ on January 26th.

The group are back, after time spent in the studio sculpting a follow-up to 2021’s UK Top 10 album ‘Sticky’. Out on January 26th, ‘Dark Rainbow’ adds another chapter to Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes’ story, and it finds the project in reflective mode, matching personal lyricism to aspects of Southern gothic.

“I’m just witnessing the world change so quickly and I’m still trying to come to terms with who I am and what the authentic version of me is,” Frank Carter says. “By giving people what I thought they wanted I think I got further and further away from who I actually am, you know? So now, first and foremost, I’m prioritising what I need. Sobriety has been really, really helpful for me.”

New single ‘Man Of The Hour’ leads the way, an all-out scorcher that boasts Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes’ inimitable energy. Ruth Hunduma directs the visual, with the frontman commenting:

“We talk about how rock and roll will never die, but we never really talk about how maybe the idea of the rock star should die. The whole concept and what it means has always been this glamorised moment, but ultimately when I put that suit on, it didn’t go very well for me.”

“I’m just witnessing the world change so quickly and I’m still trying to come to terms with who I am and what the authentic version of me is. By giving people what I thought they wanted I think I got further and further away from who I actually am.”

Tune in now.
