Digital Mystikz Confirm Second Album

'Urban Ethics' due soon

Digital Mystikz have confirmed that their second album ‘Urban Ethics’ will be out soon.

Digital Mytikz are one of the most important production teams in the dubstep scene. Hosting the DMZ club night, the duo have watched as the scene expanded from just a few friends into a global force.

However the lines of the dubstep scene are becoming increasingly blurred. The trademark wobble has disappeared, and could soon be joined by both the half-step rhythm and the 140BPM benchmark.

Fighting back, Digital Mystikz released their debut album earlier this year. Following a series of seminal 12 inch releases, ‘Return II Space’ was a fantastic statement from the duo.

Focussing on Mala’s productions, the introspective album reinforced the hallmarks of dubstep without seeming forced. Forward thinking but in keeping with the traits that made the scene what it was, ‘Return II Space’ was rewarded with warm reviews.

Now Digital Mystikz have confirmed details of their second album. This time focussing on Coki’s more in your face production style, the duo will release ‘Urban Ethics’ on their own DMZ label shortly.

As with ‘Return II Space’ the forthcoming album is set to be available on a deluxe triple vinyl pack. The news had been long rumoured, with plenty of rumours on the now legal station Rinse FM.

Confirmed by Mala in a posting on the Dubstep Forum, a recent show by Coki on Rinse FM saw the DJ spin dubplates such as ‘Old Hope’, ‘Intergalactic Dub’ and ‘Robotnik’.

Also posting the artwork, further details such as exact release date, full tracklisting and more are set to follow.
