Aries and Umbro Return with a Dynamic Rugby Collection

Pagan meets preppy on the rugby field...

Following on from a sell-out football-rave-infused capsule last year, Aries has once again teamed up with British sportswear label Umbro. This time the brands are taking on a muddier, bloodier feat with a five-piece rugby-inspired collection, blending Umbro’s rich sports history with Aries’ luxury streetwear aesthetic.

This collaboration has given both brands the opportunity to create an authentic sportswear collection that shines with both performance and design, boasting bold colours and transcendent graphics over high-performance clothing.

Award-winning photographer and film director Elaine Constantine captures the finer details in an accompanying campaign that sees the collection modelled on the Hackney Rugby Club. The graphic, earthy images capture the raw and volatile energy of the sport that echoes through the collection.

The collection, described by the brand as “pagan meets preppy” conjures feelings of mysticism into the grassy rugby fields with vintage-wash striped rugby shirts emblazoned with runes, the words “Pagans” and “No Problemo” in a gold stitch. The collection consists of two classic, block stripe rugby shirts, track pants, shorts and two pairs of knee-high rugby socks. Umbro flexes its performance-based yarn blend with the early Modern rugby socks available in navy or an even bolder fluorescent yellow.

The Aries x Umbro rugby collection is available now online.
