Alan McGee Doesn’t Want Oasis To Reform

As they would "fuck it up..."

Alan McGee doesn't want Oasis to reform, he has claimed.

Rumours of an Oasis re-union have continually dogged the band, increasing in fever since last year's documentary Supersonic.

Alan McGee was closely associated with the group's meteoric rise, signing them to Creation and even managing them for a period.

Speaking to The Sun, though, he argued that Oasis shouldn't reform – as "they’d fuck it up."

“I just hope they don’t spoil the legend, try and recreate and get back together,” he said. “They’d fuck it up. As long as you don’t do that, then they are legends forever. So let’s leave it legendary.”

Asked if a reunion could follow in the future, he replied: "I can’t see it. They are just in different places. It’s always moment in time. You can’t keep going back to try and be 21 again. You have got to move on, you know."

Liam Gallagher is set to release a solo album this year.
