The Bug – Fire

The bar has been raised yet again...

Kevin Martin’s long-awaited return as The Bug doesn’t disappoint – mutant bass abstraction that wrangles speakers and minds alike, ‘Fire’ is an intense aural experience. Lead single ‘Clash’ erupts from the first note, while the tension between The Bug and Flowdan on ‘Pressure’ seems to capture the menace of our current dystopia.

Moor Mother’s stunning appearance on ‘Vexed’ is pure verbal distortion, but Manga Saint Hilare might just top her efforts on dance cruncher ‘Bang’. A project with literally no skips, ‘Fire’ seems to lay down a marker for his peers – The Bug is back, and the bar has been raised yet again.
