Warmest Chord arrives

American solo artist Wild Nothing is set to help launch new London based label Warmest Chord.

Say what you like about DIY methods, but there remains something special about record labels. Due to launch in London this summer, Warmest Chord promise to something new to the city's music scene.

Formed by two people connected to indie institution Rough Trade, Warmest Chord aim to combine the old with the new. Planning a series of limited edition releases, the label aims to re-vamp the indie aesthetic.

Determined to be home-made, Warmest Chord will combine music with carefully crafted artwork, whether that be be-spoke screen printed posters, fold out sleeve design or collectibles.

Warmest Chord will launch this summer with the release of a new EP by Wild Nothing. A solo project, the American act's debut album has received warm praise due to its stunning evocation of late 80s dream pop.

A nostalgic, whimsical yet always gripping release Wild Nothing have saved three special tracks for a new EP. Given the catalogue number WC1 the new EP will be combined with a specially designed 2 in 1 phosphorescent / glow in the dark screen print.

“So often now great music gets lost in the maelstrom of all the other new bands with blatant self promotion. We want to give music fans a reason to not just delete tracks that once never budged from their playlist just to make room for the next best thing" says Becky one of the people behind Warmest Chord.

"Don't just dip your toe in what people expect a music fan to be. Know the lyrics, hum along, wear the t-shirt, tack the poster up on the wall… Have passion for it!”

Wild Nothing's new EP will be available from the Warmest Chord website. More details HERE.
