Track Of The Day 22/5 – VALERAS

'Your Honey'

VALERAS hit London this weekend, and the capital had best be prepared.

The Reading band will play All Points East on May 25th, a day marked by performances from The Strokes, Interpol, and The Raconteurs.

With support slots alongside The Amazons, DRENGE, Yonaka and Fickle Friends under their belts, VALERAS will feel more than confident of holding their own.

Recently kicking off a huge 20 date UK tour, the Reading risers shared their emphatic new single 'Your Honey' to electrify fans.

A biting piece of guitar pop with a gothic edge, the song is "about mental suffocation from someone, leading to self-uncertainty and emptiness. No longer knowing your own identity without that person’s suffocation."

We're able to share the video, and it builds on these themes, utilising the influence of a certain Stanley Kubrick classic.

VALERAS explain: "The video for 'Your Honey' is based on the feeling of being emotionally trapped. It is influenced by scenes from The Shining and portrays and unwanted presence controlling you and keeping you captive."

Tune in now.
