'Lonely Nights'

LEISURE are ready to kick off a fresh chapter.

The band's incoming 'Side A' EP lands on October 30th, following sessions in a chateau on the fringes of Paris.

Buying up local cheese and wine, the group let the recording sessions billow out, and this relaxed atmosphere seeps into the music.

Looking back, they comment: “It was a surreal experience processing how the band had come this far, and the excitement in feeling we still had a lot to give...”

Frisky disco grooves with some neat melodic flourishes, LEISURE flip pop on its side, resulting in something bewitchingly unexpected.

New single 'Lonely Nights' airs through Clash, and it's a gently overpowering gem, with the neat, Chic-like rhythms set against that dappled vocal.

“The video for Lonely Nights was inspired by our time writing music in Paris last year.” says the band. “We were big fans of (animator / director) Jack Brown’s work and when the opportunity came to collaborate we were excited - the tempo and feel of the song is a strutting late-70s rhythm but when Jack went and flipped it to this trippy, floaty boat cruise vibe it was a super cool balance and keeps things leisurely.”
