Theodor Black Returns With ‘Indigo’

It's a supple piece of soulful indie...

South London talent Theodor Black has shared new single 'Indigo'.

The highly rated songwriter matches the spartan indie techniques of King Krule, say, with a deep knowledge of soul.

New EP ‘GARÇON’ lands on November 5th, and it follows his remarkable, intense track 'SUB CULTURE'.

The EP is led by new single 'Indigo', with that spider-like guitar line woven around a supple, empathetic vocal from Theodor.

He comments: "'Indigo' is a darker form of blue, the colour often linked to depression. I never want to have to go through the shit that I was going through around the time I wrote this song."

"I was bugging out over the dumbest shit. I felt really vulnerable especially seeing as I’d just moved in with my girlfriend – a whole different level of intimacy – and it really forced me out of my comfort zone and with that came an outpouring of my insecurities."

Managing to get those complex feelings down on tape, 'Indigo' is a triumph from an emotionally astute artist.

Tune in now.
