Cancelled show still on

The Streets have re-scheduled their show at Brixton Academy which will now take place on June 23rd.

The Streets released their latest album of UK garage mixed with philosophy last year. 'Everything Is Borrowed' brings fans closer to the fabled fifth Streets album, after which Mike Skinner will wind up the project.

The group burst onto the music scene with 2001's stunning debut album 'Original Pirate Material'. Since then, the band have conquered the charts and played stadiums, capturing the mood of the nation with three minute pop songs.

The band have been dogged by bad luck recently. A gig in Cambridge left singer Mike Skinner needing treatment after a fan punched him in the stomach while crowd surfing, and soon after that a Brixton Academy show in London was cancelled due to a power failure.

The show was cancelled at the very last minute, with fans arriving to find the venue in darkness.

Tickets from the original show will remain valid.

The Streets will now play London's Brixton Academy on June 23rd.
