The Darkess are set to soundtrack new CBeebies series Catie's Amazing Machines.
The outrageous hard rock outfit have linked with the children's channel to focus on a soundtrack project, supplying some new material in the process.
Catie's Amazing Machines – according to the press note – "introduces pre-schoolers to some of the biggest, fastest and most amazing machines in the world" and will now receive The Darkness treatment.
The band's wild riffs and blazing guitar solos will soundtrack the show, with Dan Hawkins explaining:
“This programme should get kids, parents and guardians alike all head banging while learning a lot about the coolest machines on the planet. It’s probably the most rocking soundtrack to anything ever seen on children’s TV (or grown-ups for that matter!) It’s like watching Top Gear for kids but with more than just cars. It’s a bit like Monster riffs set to Monster trucks. For one of the vehicles featured in the series we tried to emulate the sound of a jet taking off with our guitars. We are very proud of the results!”

Catie’s Amazing Machines starts at 4.30pm, Monday October 15th on CBeebies.
