...and it's rather good

PINS have crafted an 'all girls' mix, containing a raft of fantastic tracks - listen to it below.

Surely we're over this whole girls-in-bands schtick by now? Riot Grrrl stuttered to a close some 20 years ago, and since then female artists have continued to push boundaries, to claim their place in the often male-dominated theatre of rock 'n' roll.

Sometimes, though, it's nice to have a reminder. Especially when it comes from Manchester four piece PINS, whose debut album 'Girls Like Us' is a snarling piece of agit-punk with a sugary sweet edge.

Due for release on September 30th, PINS have crafted a new mix as a quick teaser. The theme is 'All Girls' and it opens with cuts from The Organ, Ronettes and Savages.

A diverse, wide-ranging mix, it's perfect for that Friday afternon wind down and - if anything - serves as the perfect reminder that 'ladies with guitars' ain't nothing new...

Listen to it below.
