Tyler, The Creator has a curious relationship with Australia.
Fans love him, but women's rights group Collective Shout deplore his use of misogynistic language. Maintaining a campaign against the rapper, it seems they could be making in-roads against his career.
Speaking to fans on Twitter last night (July 27th) the Odd Future lynchpin claimed that his visa had been revoked following action from Collective Shout.
"T IS NOW BANNED FROM AUSTRALIA, YOU WON @CoralieAlison IM HAPPY FOR YOU <3"
"*PLAYS SMUCKERS VERSE* *SAD FACE* *GOLDENGAYTIME* MELBOURNE WAS MY FAVORITE PLACE AND TRIPLE J IS LIKE THE ONLY RADIO STATION THAT PLAYS ME"
According to Pitchfork, though, Australia's Department of Immigration and Border Protection hasn't yet turned down Tyler, The Creator's visa application - his case remains ongoing.
