Renowned audio brand continue to support and empower new artists

Life on the road for touring musicians isn’t always so glamorous. The transient nature of constantly arriving in a new city can be unsettling and disorienting, which can seriously affect the artist’s creativity and performance, and nobody wants to see them having to compromise on stage when not working to full capacity.

That’s why Shure, the renowned audio brand who have for almost 100 years been a constant and committed companion to aspiring and successful musicians, have stepped in to lend a helping hand with a year-long initiative, For Those Who Tour, which is intended to aid, comfort and encourage those itinerant souls who bring their music to the people. How? By offering them a relaxing and revitalizing haven, of course.

The initiative will be activated next week at South By South West, the world’s biggest new music festival and conference in Austin, Texas, with an alluring destination right in the heart of the city that will offer respite and the opportunity to recharge for any artists passing through between shows.

Shure Bedroom Sessions will take place on Friday 15thand Saturday 16th March, and will be located upstairs at Antone’s Nightclub (305 E 5th Street, 78701). In these cozy and comfortable surroundings, where refreshments and other helpful conveniences will be available, you will also have the chance to enjoy an afternoon of live music from a curated line-up of fresh new talents.

The event schedule and artist line-up is:

Friday 15th March
2pm Shure Music Lounge Opens
3pm Live Performances
Artists include: Donna Missal, Laura Jean Anderson, Black Belt Eagle Scout, Lucia, Flint Eastwood, Bad Bad Hats, Ambar Lucid + Prateek Kuhad

Saturday 16th March

Furthermore, there will be a special invite evening events in the venue too. To RSVP for these, and for more information on the Shure Bedroom Sessions at SXSW, head HERE.

After SXSW, For Those Who Tour will open in Shure’s hometown, Chicago, where the FTWT house will be a base for travelling creators as they pass through the Windy City. Among other features, it will contain a recording studio and creative spaces, all completely outfitted with Shure gear, making it an inspiring location for content producers, vloggers, and anyone looking to ignite their spark of creativity in suitable surroundings. Furthermore, there will also be the opportunity to stay in the house itself, in exchange for sharing content captured during their time there.

“As a core pillar of Shure’s foundation, we understand and empathise with artists,” says Brooke Giddens, the brand’s Head of Artist Marketing. “By opening For Those Who Tour Chicago later this month, we hope to amplify our support and welcome artists and creators into the Shure family when they come through our hometown.”
