Croydon riser Rachel Chinouriri has shared her new single 'Where Do I Go?' - tune in now.
The songwriter's wonderful EP 'Mama's Boy' bowled us over on its release earlier in the year, with the precocious 20 year old displaying remarkable artistic depth.
Constantly moving forward, the Croydon via Zimbabwe dives into a fresh space on her latest release.
Out now, 'Where Do I Go?' focusses on the spirit, on the pathways that run beyond our normal lives.
Soulful but with a heady experimental streak, the single features some titanic drums from black midi's Morgan Simpson.
She explains: "I begin to ask myself 'where do we go after we die' and 'where will my spirit/soul go?'. Will I go to a better place after this? Or is that better place with you?"
"I think about how life on the other side could be and if I can take you with me. I say ‘take me home’ because I was always told, our souls come from the spirit world and return there after death and as long as your good here, you’ll go back to a beautiful kingdom."
Tune in now.
