Hidden Charms first caught our attention last year, with the band's gutsy take on 60s inspired pop turning expectations upside down.
Since then, the group have went back into the studio, honing and refining their sound. Recently working with Shel Talmy (The Who / The Kinks) the band are now ready to unveil something fresh.
'Long Way Down' is buoyed by an Ennio Morricone-esque guitar line, with the raspy vocals set against some hard-as-nails work from the band.
Hidden Charms know their influences, but have a thoroughly modern streak - it's a little like The Coral, re-fashioning older sounds to craft something uniquely new.
Check it out now.
