HANNIE features two musicians, two outsider voices, drawn together in a sea of bland male-led mediocrity.
The pair found one another at ACM University in Guildford last year, initially placing fun videos online to see if someone - anyone - might be drawn to their pop approach.
The results were sensational. A debut single followed, with HANNIE's crisp, lush, colour-flecked pop music charging across the web. 2018 promises much, with new releases, live shows, and much more planned from a duo who was undaunted in their ambition.
80s tinged new single 'Target' leads the way, a stellar slice of funky summer-fresh pop music that boasts a guest slot from Ralph.
"'Target' was one of the first songs we ever wrote together. Ralph was over from Toronto and so we were super happy to be able to write a song with her. It was awesome fun and the song came together so easily. Ralph works just like us - quickly, and we love that!"
"It's all about being a free spirit, wanting to settle, but just not being able to. The song hints at a relationship but we wrote it thinking about more than just that. It's about not being content with where you are and always wanting to move on to the next step. Not in a dissatisfied way, more in a wanting things to continually improve kind of way. Ralph sings it amazingly and we couldn’t be happier with it."
