R&B with a timeless, yet forward-facing, aesthetic...

Life can be hard, sometimes.

AZEKEL knows that more than most. Observing those around him, he can see the daily troubles, the hourly strife his loved ones find themselves in.

It can be a struggle to get by, but - fortunately - that's why we have music. AZEKEL's new EP 'Raw, Vol. 2' takes the social commentary of Curtis Mayfield, say, and fuses it with a future-facing aesthetic.

Emotive R&B delivered with a real style, each track has a positive emotional impact - sure, he can fall down into the depths, but renewed heights are always in sight.

AZEKEL explains: "I was inspired by the issues some of my friends in the city were finding themselves in, also I was listening to a lot of similar themes in the music from Curtis Mayfield & Marvin Gaye, and became conscious that this idea of social commentary was a theme that bled through their works too. They are two singers that I can really relate to vocally”.
