...and she's not called Kim
Pixies

Pixies have installed Paz Lenchantin as their new bass player.

Pixies have had a tumultuous year. The band lost Kim Deal, before unveiling Kim Shattuck as her replacement.

Yet the move was to be short lived. Kim Shattuck exited the band, who continued their forward movement by releasing 'EP-1' - their first blast of new material in two decades.

Now a replacement has been confirmed. Paz Lenchantin will tackle four string duties, following spells in A Perfect Circle and the Billy Corgan side project Zwan.

Drummer Dave Lovering said of the announcement: "We are really looking forward to playing with her on these dates... working with different bass players is very new for the band, but we’re having a great time doing it." (via NME)

In addition to this, Pixies have shared the video for 'EP-1' track 'Another Toe In The Ocean' - watch it below.

The new issue of Clash magazine is out right now. It's always on the money with breakthrough acts worth listening to. So, go and see.
