The singer is no stranger to the world of literature, with his debut novel "And The Ass Saw The Angel" being celebrated by fans and literary critics alike. The new novel will be published by Edinburgh based publishers Canongate, with managing director describing the work as " modern Faustus of sorts".

The printed copy of "Death Of Benny Nelson" is expected to be tied in with an audiobook of the novel, set to be read by Nick Cave himself.

Nick Cave has been extremely busy of late, producing musicals scores, touring with both Grinderman and the Bad Seeds and it is astonishing that he can find time to finish a novel. However, given his reputation and stunning back catalogue we are expecting great things.
