Band debut second album

Liverpool's returning whimsical indie types The Maccabees have posted a new song on their official website, the first taster of their forthcoming second album.

The Maccabees debut album 'Colour It In' was released to acclaim in 2007. Containing the semi-hit 'Toothpaste Kisses' it was a wonderful collection of whimsical songwriting, but equally capable of great depth.

The forthcoming second album has yet to be named, but fans can stream a track from it right now! Simply head to The Maccabees' official site right now to hear 'No Kind Words'.

Darker in theme to the rest of the album, it highlights a rarely seen side to the band. The forthcoming second album will be produced Markus Dravs, also responsible for work by Arcade Fire. Begun in their native Liverpool, the band also underwent sessions in Paris.

The Maccabees will release their as yet untitled second album later this year. They are also expected to unveil a British tour shortly thereafter.
