Liz Lawrence has shared two brand new singles.
The songwriter is embarking on a mission to overhaul her sound and approach, releasing six singles in six months.
Completing the project with this dual-release, Liz Lawrence is ready to share ‘The Good Part’ and ‘Woman’.
'The Good Part' is mixed by Jack Steadman, with Liz commenting: “It’s a stomped foot of impatience to hurry life along when it feels like all the days are muted and humdrum. As if there will be a moment where the life you’re supposed to be living will just come along, and then everything that’s dragging you down will disappear. I can’t work out if I’m sending up that idea or if I’m desperate for it. Maybe it’s a bit of both.”
'Woman' is rather more downbeat, a haunted, prayer-like song prompted in part by Hillary Clinton's defeat in the American Presidential election.
“I’m putting my faith in the women of the planet to raise tenderness and strength back up from the ashes,” Lawrence explains. “I see 'Woman' as a collection of individuals coming together and becoming bigger as a superpower.”
