A much loved American institution, weezer recently went back into the studio to lay down some new material.

The results are gathered on the optimistically titled new album 'Everything Will Be Alright In The End'. Due for release on September 29th, Cars frontman Ric Ocasek oversaw the recording process.

The band's first collection of new material in some four years, weezer have decided to precede their upcoming record with a brand new track.

'Back To The Shack' is a chugging, nerdish piece of alt rock with Rivers Cuomo at his geek-rock best. Can it live up to their catalogue? Time will tell.

Check out 'Back To The Shack' below.

'Back To The Shack' will be given its radio premiere tonight on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show alongside a full interview with the band - tune in from 8.30pm.
