Burt Bacharach classic gets re-worked...
Julia Holter

A true stylist, Julia Holter's remarkable songwriting ability is matched with a keen ear for arrangement.

Last year's 'Loud City Song' full length was rightly lauded, and one of the album's centrepieces was a wonderful version of 'Hello Stranger' - originally a hit for Barbara Lewis in 1963.

The track is to be given a standalone release, one half of a double A-side which features a brand new recording. 'Don't Make Me Over' was written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, with Dionne Warwick performing the track back in 1962.

A languid, quite beautiful take on a well worn classic, Julia Holter seems to imbue each line, each word with a tremendous sense of emotion.

Listen to both tracks below.

'Don't Make Me Over' b/w 'Hello Stranger' is set to be released on July 28th.
