Margate multi-disciplinary artist Art School Girlfriend has shared new single 'Diving'.

The electronic artist - real name Polly Mackey - uses music to explore identity and sexuality, with her alt-pop leanings firmly uniting the left-field with the immediate.

Often working from Paul Epworth's studio The Church, her work has a pensive, meditative feel, reaching inwards to a deeply personal place.

Sparse yet intense, new single 'Diving' is built around an electronic skeleton, with Art School Girlfriend's brooding delivery betraying shadows of Julia Holter or even Depeche Mode.

She comments: “'Diving' is about desire and anxiety in equal measure...”
