From Charlotte, North Carolina to the world...

Kelsey Lu is set to release her new album 'Blood' later this year.

The American artist left her Charlotte, North Carolina while still a teenager, intending to study cello.

Releasing 'Church' on Tru Panther Sounds, however, changed her life; since then, she's become one of American music's hottest properties.

Sculpting her debut album 'Blood' with Rodaidh McDonald - The xx, Sampha - the record also features guest production from Jamie xx and Skrillex.

Here's a quote from Kelsey Lu about her intentions...

"'Blood' is a recognition of the Pain, the Horror and the Beauty of finding the ability to observe it all in order to move through it."

"We live to die another day and in the end be hopeful of whatever there is to come or not come at all, and ultimately make love while doing it."

Tune in now.

'Blood' will be released on April 19th.
