New Album Huge Success

Timid trio Keane have reason to celebrate - their long awaited new album 'Perfect Symmetry' has knocked Oasis off the top spot in the albums chart.

The convulsed recording sessions for 'Perfect Symmetry' were matched by behind the scenes drama as lead singer Tom Chaplin entered drugs rehab centre The Priory. However, fans have lapped up the new album and it has become one of their most successful to date.

As a result of Keane's huge success, Mancunian minstrels Oasis have dropped to number two, while Southern lords of indie rock Kings Of Leon languish in third place.

Over in the singles chart, Pink held onto number one slot as a determined effort by Geraldine (aka chubby laugh merchant Peter Kay) failed to dislodge her. It did however, beat former X Factor winner Leon Jackson.

Who's laughing now? Probably not Simon Cowell.
