Acrimonious relationships continue...
Peter Hook

The sudden, shocking end of Joy Division stands in stark contrast to the continued decline of New Order.

The band's acrimonious relationships - bass player Peter Hook doesn't speak to singer Bernard Sumner - have been played out via numerous interviews and onstage remarks.

With a lavish new book focussing on the lyrics of Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis due shortly, a Joy Division Twitter account has been opened.

After only a few minutes, though, Peter Hook left a barbed remark asking why he wasn't consulted.

New Order are currently working on new material without Peter Hook, with their next album due to be released on Mute in 2015.
