And he's leading from the front...

Prodigious South London producer Impey is set to launch his own label with a new solo release.

The beat maker is more readily associated with instrumental grime's splintered evolution, but his recent mixes on NTS have displayed a much broader outlook on production.

New label Ghost Notes picks up on this, with Impey providing a mission statement in the form of new EP 'The Deluge'.

Out on June 8th, the three-tracker will receive a full 10 inch vinyl pressing, with the title cut online now.

Opening in sparse, dystopian realms, the synth triggers are followed by dubbed out effects, while the skeletal rhythmic chassis can sit alongside advances by Mr. Mitch or Yamaneko.

Tune in now.
