"What the fuck is wrong with the guy?"

IDLES frontman Joe Talbot has finally hit back at his Sleaford Mods counterpart Jason Williamson.

Sleaford Mods seem to regularly beef with other bands, following a social media spat with Blossoms by opening fire on IDLES.

Accusing the Bristol punks of "class appropriation" Jason Williamson followed this with a series of Twitter barbs.

IDLES for their part maintained a stony silence, but Joe Talbot has clearly had enough with the ongoing bitching.

Speaking to the Independent he said:

“This idea that I can’t speak out against austerity or food banks – that I can’t think one of the richest economies in the world having fucking food banks is wrong – I can’t say that because I’m fortunate enough to be able to feed my child?”

He added: “What the fuck is wrong with the guy?”

Sleaford Mods were a key influence on IDLES, but the singer admits that Jason Williamson is no longer "a hero" after the spat.

It seems Joe Talbot is used to being “personally attacked”, insisting he is “more annoyed by his own reaction”.

He commented: “Like, why the fuck am I letting someone who doesn’t know me affect me?”
