Haviah Mighty has won the Polaris Music Prize for her album '13th Floor'.
The prize is awarded to the best Canadian album released that year, with previous winners including Kaytranada, Caribou, Tanya Tagaq, Buffy Sainte-Marie, and more.
Judged by a wide-ranging panel, the Polaris Music Prize unveiled its shortlist earlier in the year, featuring work from PUP, Jessie Reyez, Marie Davidson, and others.
At a ceremony last night - September 16th - Haviah Mighty took home the $50,000 prize, for her album '13th Floor'.
