Rising Brighton indie group HANYA have shared their new single 'Dream Wife'.
The band's potent songwriting matches indie rock crunch to ethereal shoegaze, resulting in something highly infectious.
Gorgeous, shimmering effects linger amid their melodic fine-tuning, while lyrically the band seem able to go a little deeper than most.
Recently supporting Honeyblood and Tess Parks, while even booking in a trip to the United States to play New Colossus, it seems like there's real momentum behind HANYA right now.
New single 'Dream Wife' comes at an opportune moment, and it's "a song for lovers" that unfolds with romantic grace.
"A throwback championing that first special someone, and the ‘honeymoon phase’ we’re all familiar with," say the band. "Whether it’s an unrequited crush or the beginning of something long-term. It’s an arresting period of time that not even your mum can snap you out of with a trip bowling and some Pringles..."
Moving to a taut, raucous finale, 'Dream Wife' is driven by feeling, and HANYA's commitment to doing things their own way.
Tune in now.
Catch HANYA at Brighton venue The Richmond on November 27th.
