Father John Misty released his new album 'I Love You, Honeybear' earlier this year, receiving ecstatic reviews.
Clash writer Gemma Hampson was smitten, labelling it a "true masterpiece" in a lavish 9/10 evocation.
Speaking to the NME, Father John Misty has revealed that he has already written his next album - and it won't be about love.
"No, I have no interest in writing about love any more, for a while," he said. "I'm kind of worn out on that. I'm proud of it—I feel like for me it was an accomplishment. At the time that I undertook it, it felt so far out of my wheelhouse."
Continuing, Father John Misty said: "I feel like writing about intimacy afforded me a real unexpected level of clarity and kind of turning that perspective outward, that's essentially what the next album is all about."
