East London rap riser Leyma has shared his new single 'Reminder'.
The Leyton artist has his own take on how to do things, from his press shots right down to the final studio mix.
New EP 'L O N G D A Y S' arrives on October 23rd, and it follows months of social media buzz.
Set to headline London's Camden Assembly on November 8th, the release is teased by something pretty damn special.
'Reminder' is this breezy rap jammer, with Leyma retaining a lo-fi, almost punk edge to his work.
A song that lists his own failings, 'Reminder' is a stark look in the mirror, but Leyma always provides a path out of introspection.
'Reminder' is a three-minute conversation with myself, beginning with a list of insecurities and anxieties I’m facing, that go unanswered until my memory is jogged by this ‘reminder’.
This allows me to think rationally and realise that it’s been okay before, so it can be okay again. Concluding the conversation reminiscing on the L O N G D A Y S of summer, and the defining elements of my youth...
Leyma's close friend Lawrence Perry directs the new video - tune in now.
