Joined by Polar Bear, Lucky Dragons

An exciting and unusual tour has been announced with Dirty Projectors set to play UK dates ably supported by Polar Bear and Lucky Dragons.

Dirty Projectors take the punk template of Black Flag and extend it towards the horizon. In the past, the group have veered from glacial acoustic songwriting to frantic bursts of noise and everything in between.

The American group will be joined on the tour by celebrated jazz act Polar Bear. In fact, its perhaps unfair to even label the band 'jazz' such is their breath-taking musical vision. Led by Seb Roachford the group are a sensational live act.

Finally, Lucky Dragons will play. Fronted by Luke Fischbeck, the electronic act craft dense collages of sound that never lose their pop touch.

Put together by new organisation 'When you're here you're family' the tour will be funded in part by the English Arts Council. Now that's what we call a good use of tax payers money!

'When you're here you're family' tour takes in the following venues:

March
24 Nottingham Rescue Rooms
25 Cardiff Clwb Ifor Bach
27 Belfast Black Box
28 Dublin Crawdaddy
29 Glasgow ABC2
31 Brighton Komedia

April
1 Manchester Mint Lounge
2 London Scala
3 Bristol Arnolfini
4 Coventry Taylor Johns House
