And it debuts in London next year...

Damon Albarn has unveiled details of his next project.

The multi-disciplinary songwriter has placed Blur on the back-burner, recently releasing a full album with The Good The Bad & The Queen.

His next project finds Damon Albarn swapping State Of The Nation critique for a visit to Iceland, with The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows debuting next year.

The title is taken from a John Clare poem, and the seemingly highly personal project will utilise a full ensemble and commissioned visuals.

The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows will hit London's Barbican on May 26th, with tickets going on sale to Barbican members on October 3rd.

Damon Albarn: The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows takes place at London's Barbican on May 26th, 2020.
