Clash x Brownswood Launch International Jazz Day Broadcast

Featuring a flurry of live sets...

Clash will team up alongside Brownswood Recordings for a special International Jazz Day broadcast.

Everyday is Jazz Day at the Clash office, but April 30th is a little special – it's actually designated as an international celebration of jazz as an art-form.

To coincide, we've teamed up with Brownswood Recordings – one of the most important labels in this country right now – for a day of DJ sets and live music.

Broadcasting over Insta Live and Facebook Live, we'll be able to make stellar DJ sets against unique performances from the cream of the label's talent.

Joe Armon-Jones will kick off proceedings at 3pm, and he's one of the MVPs within London's underground jazz community – a member of Ezra Collective and a noted composer under his own name, he's collaborated with Nubya Garcia, Maxwell Owin, and more.

Ruby Savage follows with a impeccably tailored DJ set, leading into a full concert from the explosive talent that is Skinny Pelembe at 5pm.

Forest Law has promised something special – building a beat from scratch, this entirely improvised performance will be a completely unique, one off event.

Finally, SAY Award winner and all-round beat virtuoso Auntie Flo will finish the event, with a special party vibes DJ set that kicks off at 6pm.

The perfect way to toast the ongoing vitality and creative energy within jazz and beyond, we hope you'll join Clash and Brownswood for this very special event.
