Blue Bendy’s ‘Suspension’ Is A “Wonky Lament About A Bridge”

It's an art-pop curiosity from the South London group...

South London's Blue Bendy have shared their wonky art-pop banger 'Suspension'.

The group tap into that British art school sensibility, with each song finding the band hurling dollops of paint down on their studio canvas.

New single 'Suspension' goes in a thousand different directions, twisting in and out in the same manner Stereolab perfected.

There's a raw, DIY edge to the sound, though, like Country Teasers let loose in a children's paint box, but delivered with immeasurable style and wit.

Out via Too Old For This Records, the digital release drops on August 8th followed by a seven inch vinyl release on October 25th.

Beneath the dips and curves you'll find a patiently pieced together song about an exceptional piece of Northern engineering – Blue Bendy comment…

‘Suspension’ is a profoundly wonky lament about a bridge; a celebration of the monolith on Humberside if you will. It was conceived out of a desire to communicate its enduring status as a symbol of romance, nostalgia and yearning.”
