Adrian Belew Quits Nine Inch Nails

New line up begins to fragment...

Guitarist Adrian Belew has decided to leave the new line up of Nine Inch Nails a matter of months after joining.

Signalling their return, Industrial godheads Nine Inch Nails delighted fans around the globe. New single 'Come Back Haunted' was unveiled online, before the group announced a lengthy series of Stateside shows.

However even before it gets off the ground, the band's ongoing resurgence seems to be plagued by internal problems. Former Jane’s Addiction bassist Eric Avery became the first to pull out, with guitarist Adrian Belew now confirming his intention to leave the group.

As Consequence of Sound report, Adrian Belew initially posted the following message on Facebook:

"hey folks, before this goes too far let me say this: I greatly respect trent and the music he makes. no one is at fault. we both agreed it just was not working. I’m sorry to disappoint anyone. that really hurts. but NIN will do an amazing show and I am back where I belong: creating FLUX."

However soon after posting this the guitarist then updated the message to read:

"concerning me being part of the 2013 Nine Inch Nails band:

it didn’t work."

Nine Inch Nails are set to release their new album later this year.
